UF Health The Villages Hospital’s Hospitalist Operations Department is growing our physician support team! Our department partners with the hospitalist physicians to provide exceptional patient care and outcomes. As a member of our team, you will work side by side with our providers assisting with complex patient cases, expediting discharges and serving as a liaison between departments. The Hospitalist Operations Department is an instrumental part of process improvement within the hospital, including implementing multidisciplinary rounds division wide, which successfully decreased our patient’s length of stay. Join our small but mighty team of critically thinking, compassionate, driven nurses and share in our collaborative and inclusive culture!
A Note from the Manager:
As the spearhead of the first hospitalist operations department at UF Health Central Florida, I am thrilled at our success and opportunity to grow! I am committed to continuing to advance the department and celebrate our successes. As a leader, I take pride in being an advocate for my team members and ensuring that they have the tools and support they need to be successful every day. The role of Hospitalist Resource Nurse is widely autonomous, so I prioritize individual meetings with my team members, in addition to department biweekly touch points to ensure that we all feel empowered as both individuals and a team. Recognizing your personal goals and supporting you is the truth north on my compass as a leader.
The Hospitalist Resource RN functions in a supportive role to the Divisional Manager Hospitalist Operations, VP of Clinical Outcomes and the Chief Medical Officer to support the Hospitalist Strategy and delivery of clinical excellence. The Hospitalist Resource RN collaborates with the contracted Hospitalist MD and other care team leaders to achieve success in achieving the process and outcome measures supporting the Hospitalist Scorecard. Supports physician strategy development and execution, operational development, and improvement. The Hospitalist RN serves as a change agent with the Hospitalist groups and supports conflict resolution. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
